About this event
Overview of Sex Therapy
Most therapists receive only minimal training in sex therapy, which can make it challenging to know how to respond when clients bring up sexual concerns in session. Many clinicians also avoid asking clients whether they’d like to discuss sex or sexuality out of fear that they won’t be equipped to help. This workshop offers an overview of what sex therapy entails and provides practical ways to begin these conversations with clients — even those who may feel ashamed or nervous talking about sex
Learning Outcomes:
1. Define what Sex Therapy is
2. Discuss Sex without shame and when clinically appropriate and desired with their adult clients
