Healing Families: Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT)

About this event

This will be a training in which you will be able to learn an evidence-based modality that can be used with families. Multidimensional Family Therapy can be used with diverse families and can create lasting change. Training will include case vignette discussions, as well as Q&A with an MDFT-trained therapist. 

By the end of this presentation, participants will be better able to:

1. Define and implement the 3 stages of treatment in MDFT. 
2. Utilize techniques for engaging resistant adolescents and their families in the therapeutic process.

5:30pm-6:00pm - Foundations of MDFT Explained
6:00pm-6:30pm - Impacts for Youth and Families
6:30pm-7:00pm - Case Review & Role Play
7:00pm-7:30pm - Discussion and Q&A


Hazel Zetino has a passion for her work and has been in the field for the past 8 years. She currently has her private practice (Harmonized Soul) where she specializes in working with Families and Adolescents. Furthermore, she facilitates group therapy, via the modality of CBT and DBT for a hospital in the Bay Area. Additionally, she is an Adjunct Professor at The Wright Institute. Hazel Zetino, was trained in the modality of MDFT and certified. Where she served for 5 years as an MDFT therapist. She is passionate about seeing healing in families and cultivating a space for radical conversations.
